The standard exhaust system that comes with Mercedes AMG GT is a pretty sweet sounding thing. It is fairly quite at low rpm, but when you start to work your way up through the revs, it growls and bangs and crackles. This one right here, though, is equipped with an AMG Performance sport exhaust system. It doesn’t sounds very sweet.

We do realize that those of you car lovers with a geeky disposition will be mad at us for saying this, but we think it’s a terrible racket, this noise. I mean, if you are not aware that they have intentionally engineered that sound into this exhaust system, you’d think the car is broken or something. Nothing healthy sounds like this:

And don’t let that loud noise fool you into thinking Mercedes AMG GT is powered by some nuclear bomb. It’s a tiny 4.0 liter twin-turbo engine with 510 horsepower. It’s a pretty decent unit, but nothing as beastly as that soundtrack might suggest.
