As promised Kia unveiled the 5-door hatchback variant of the Forte (also known as Cerato in Asia and Australia) during the 2010 New York Auto Show. The car comes with a new rear-end, obviously, and modified front-end over the sedan and coupe models including a new grille. The interior is also equipped with new features.
Kia Forte Hatchback comes with new alloy wheels, lower valence design, center console, paddle shifters, push-button start (already available in Forte line-up outside of North America) and navigation (available in North America only) in addition to the enhanced practicality of a fifth door for a distinct appearance and intentional practicality.
As for the engines, if you live in America you may choose between a 2.0 and a 2.4-liter petrol engines, and if you are an outsider you get a 1.6 liter petrol instead of the more powerful 2.4 liter. The car will be launched in October while pricing is TBA.
