Shown at 2010 Hanover Trade Show, the Milano is VW’s very realistic idea for an emission-free public transportation. In fact they are going to launch it into the market by 2013. The Milano is a city MPV with swivel-sliding passenger door, touch screen interior monitors, and of course an all-electric drivetrain.
Featuring Milan’s green and black taxi livery, VW Milano’s electric motor which is backed by lithium-ion battery develops 115 hp (50 kW), which gives it 120 km/h top speed. It can also cover a distance of 300 kilometres on one charge, can be recharged to up to 80 per cent in just one hour.
So there you go, the taxi of the future!
