Twin-Turbo Pentastar V6 For Maserati?

Maserati Quattroporte at Twin Turbo Pentastar V6 For Maserati?

For reasons we can’t fully understand, Maserati is going to replace its V8 engines and instead use a twin-turbo version of Chrysler’s Pentastar V6.

That’s what Inside Line‘s report says. Sure the American V6 is more efficient and the twin-turbo takes care of the power, but we’re talking about Maserati here. The biggest selling point for the Masser is that it’s a mini Ferrari and that’s becasue of that V8 engine, the noise it makes, and the way it feels.

We know the Pentastar is good, but would you buy a Maserati that has the same basic engine as Chrysler Town and Country?!

The Fiat/Chrysler marriage worked brilliantly for the Americans and Fiat too is enjoying the results. Maserati however, seems to be taking the hits, being sacrificed for the success of its parent company.
