Following the enormous success of the 2011 LEAF electric car, Nissan decided to launch the 2012 model in all the U.S. states it hasn’t been present so far.

That means citizens of Colorado, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey and New York are now able to order these green and futuristic car. The 2012 model year comes with additional standard equipment including quick charging and cold-weather features, and will launch in December.

Nissan has already delivered 7,000 units of the LEAF in the States.

A prioritized ordering phase begins today for individuals with existing reservations in these new markets. On Oct. 3, Nissan will open new reservations and orders to the general public. Nissan will expand into additional new markets as the year continues. By the end of the year, Delaware, Indiana, Louisiana, Nevada, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Rhode Island will be added as markets where the Nissan LEAF will be available for order.
