Official specs of the 2012MT Nissan GTR have been released by the Japanese company. The car comes with 550 hp.

The 3.8 liter V6 engine that started life with 480 hp now makes 404kW (550PS) from /6,400rpm with maximum torque of from 612 to 632Nm(64.5kgfm) from 3,200 to 5,800 rpm. Next year it’ll probably get 600.

What’s more, its fuel consumption has been reduced from 12 to 11.8L/100 Kms (average) which is not much, but hey. The engine is optimized in areas like intakes, air flow, and exhausts. The gearbox is also revised with firmer fixing bearing for the flywheel housing. A special differential oil R35 COMPETITION Type 2189E (75W140), which was developed for competition is now used in every version of GT-R.

The GTR is more technical than ever. It shows even more with the RHD version, available in Japan, UK, Australia and South Africa. They’ve revised the suspension to compensate for the weight differences and also refined the steering system accordingly.

That is why the car is so fast, but that’s also why it’s kinda uncool. It’s a bit, well, a lot nerdy.

The RHD version also gets a “For TRACK PACK” package which features revised suspension settings, extra brake cooling (front and rear), and aluminum-alloy wheels from Spec-V made by Rays (with black quartz chrome color coating). The front spoiler with carbon air duct has been exclusively made for this edition and is installed as a set. This version is a two-seat configuration with quilted fabric mats in place of the rear seats. That’s to save weight.

There’s no cosmetic changes, but the body is made firmer and more rigid to reduce vibration and improve handling. The interior is also enhanced subtly by the addition of blue lighting inside the tachometer ring to match the shift position indicator light. Rear View Camera device will be standard on all models, and you can order a banging BOSE audio system.
