For those who just don’t want to buy the M5, Alpina will unveil a new version of the B5 Biturbo with 540 hp.

The recipe for this car is very similar to the M5, even though it still makes 10hp less than the M-tuned car. It has a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 with massive power, a discrete body kit, and a luxury cabin. But the Alpina is less shouty and showy than the F10 M5. It’s always been the underdog.

The engine in this car makes 540 hp and 730 Nm of torque. Performance-wise, the zero to 100 time is updated from 4.7 seconds to 4.6 and the top speed from 307 to 319 km/h.

The average fuel consumption is now better as well. The previous B5 burned 10.8 liters of fuel every 100km, this one 10.5.

The looks of the car has not changed, but because of the extra power the price tag has. It’s €102,520, about three grand more than before.
