NISSAN DELTAWING at Nissan Deltawing in Action at Sebring

Deltawing Le Mans race car, which is now powered by Nissan engine, completes its first shakedown at Sebring race track in America without crashing or taking off. There has been doubts about the Deltawing’s cornering capability, but it seems fine. It doesn’t cause Audi R18 any trouble, but for an experimental project, it’s actually very good. The car will take part at this year’s Le Mans 24 hours, but it won’t be classified.

Check it out in action in these videos. It’s a refreshingly different proposition.

The engine in this car is a Nissan 1.6 liter DIG-T (Direct Injection Gasoline – Turbocharged) with 300bhp. It’s more of a commercial opportunity for Nissan to attract attention to its DIG-T engine than a real racing motor.
