Project 370Z Stage Two at Nissan Project 370Z Stage Two Begins

Project 370Z, for those of you who may not know, is Nissan’s attempt at making the world’s first crowd-sourced car. Well, they’re not actually building a car based on the public’s ideas, but they are tuning a 370Z sports car using their comments and votes via Facebook. The campaign began early in 2012, and got underway this month with the first stage including tuning the engine and installing new suspension.

Now stage begins in which they’re working on the interior. New Recaro seats, sport steering wheel, shift knob, racing dials, new upholstery are among the changes here.

They also bolted the 19-inch Volk Racing TE37SL wheels Facebook fans had voted for on the car, and put it on dyno to make sure they’re not short of their 500 horsepower target. Next stage is about the visuals, with body kits and probably a wrap.

The end result will be unveiled at the annual “ZDayZ” event.
