Prior Design has a profound love for the R230 Mercedes SL. They just can’t let it go. Here’s their latest kit for the car, the wide boy Black Edition V2. This time it comes in a juicy red finish, and sports new details. The V2 can be fitted to all R230 models, even the pre-facelift version. Prior has a conversion kit that makes it possible.

As for the ingredients, the SL Black Edition V2 kit includes front bumper, front lip spoiler (for BlackEdition front bumper), V2 side skirts, rear bumper, rear diffusor, front fenders, rear widenings, front bonnet and mesh grille inserts. The rear spoiler is an optional extra.

Made out of Dura-Flex FRP (Fiber Reinforced Plastic), the TUV-certified kit will set you back 12,900 Euro, plus another 599 Euro for the rear spoiler.

The R230 has been around for like 10 years now, but it still looks so fresh. That is probably because the new SL looks, well, horrible!
