Only a tuner like Brabus has the guts to take on one of the most powerful off-roaders in the world, and give it more power. That is what they’ve done with the 550 hp 2013 Mercedes G63 AMG, and created the Widestar G63 with 620 hp and 820 Nm of torque.

We have covered details of this program before, but now they’ve released a video of the car being prepared for its word debut at the Essen Motor Show next month. The Essen-bound car has apparently been updated a bit, with new underbody protection parts featuring new LED lights at the front. It is a mean looking machine, but that awesome engine remains the biggest highlight of it.

One of the limiting factors in the standard G63 is the tires which cannot tolerate more than 120-30 mph. Brabus’ version comes with 23-inch wheels and high performance tires. So it should be considerably faster than the standard car. It still has aerodynamics of a cottage, but hey.
