Nissan Altima V8 Supercar In Action

Nissan Altima V8 Supercar at Nissan Altima V8 Supercar In Action

Following its debut in Melbourne, Australia, the Nissan Altima V8 Supercar takes to the Calder Park Raceway circuit for a test session with full crew present. The car is preparing for its Aussie V8 Supercars debut in 2013; a touring car series that Nissan used to be very active in two decades ago.

The Altima is the perfect machine to make this big return with. Driver Todd Kelly is certainly very pleased with it:

Nissan Altima V8 Supercar is powered by production-based VK56DE engine, a GT1-spec powertrain built by NISMO. Most of the car is actually production-based. That is the beauty of Australian V8 Super cars. There is no fancy aerodynamics, no fancy electronics, just the men and the machines.

Four Nissan Altimas set to make their racing debut at the Clipsal 500 in Adelaide, South Australia on 2 March 2013.
