This year at Essen Motor Show Braus was all about SUVs. They brought tuned versions of the G63, the ML63, and the GL-Class. The GL is not the AMG version, but they do offer power upgrades for both the GL350 BluTEC and the GL500 V8.
The GL350 gets a boost to 310 hp which is not that impressive, but it offers an enormous torque of 690 Nm. That is why this giant thing can go from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.6 seconds.
You want performance though, you have to go for the GL500. This one is tuned up to 520 hp and 800 Nm of torque. This one runs to 100 km/h in just five seconds and tops 275 km/h. You need more, you are going to have to wait for the Brabus GL63.
As always, there is also a cool body kit to accompany the performance package. The GL gets a sports front grille, steel under body protection parts, rear apron with dual exhaust, in addition to tinted windows, 23-inch Brabus wheels and couple of Brabus logos.
For the interior you get leather and Alcantara trimming, illuminated door sills, and revised Brabus instruments.
