Tune it! Safe! campaign celebrated its 8th year at this year’s Essen Motor Show, and they had a very special car to mark the occasion with. This year Brabus hooked them up with one of their fresh out of oven Mercedes A Class models. Traditionally, it sports a unique police livery.

The reason their cars has Police livery is because Tune it! Safe! campaign tries to promote safe and legal tuning. It is fine with professional tuning companies, but you often see these dudes at tuning shows who have come up with a ridiculous excuse for car with an irritatingly loud exhaust and equally annoying sound system and stuff. The campaign wants to show these guys they are doing it wrong.

As for the car, the Brabus A Class gets a very nice visual treatment with a front spoiler, a roof spoiler, rear apron with a diffuser and four tailpipes. 19-inch wheels with Hankook tires, a sport interior and a light bar finishes off the kit.

Brabus has tweaked the engine as well, in this case a 2.0 liter four-banger, and it makes 250 horsepower and 380 Nm of torque. It results in great performance with a 0 to 100 km/h sprint time of 6.2 seconds and top speed of 250 km/h.
