Hofele-Design released the first renderings of the tuning package they are readying for the 2013 Range Rover. Named Royster GT 500, it’s a crisscross between a luxury SUV and a sporty GT car. There is of course a part of it that serves both purposes, and that’s the engine.

Hofele’s plans will boost the power of Range Rover’s SDV8 engine from 340 to 410 hp and the torque from 600 Nm up to 720 Nm. It is both fast and smooth.

Since no one really cares about Range Rover’s off-road capabilities, Hofele has fitted the car with an electric lowering module that can lower the car by as much as 40mm, so it’ll be more stable when you are going fast.

Visually, the Royster gets new styling details in the bumpers, matte black grilles on the front and sides, new bubble-design side skirts to keep the dirt away from the doors, rear apron, 4-tube stainless steel tailpipes, and Hofele’s own “REVERSO ll wheels in sizes 9,0 x 20″ and 10 x 22”.

As for the interior, the Range Rover gets the Starlight bi-color leather package with quilted elements and decorative stitching. All in all, a pretty good effort. We’re just not digging this orange color Hofele is proposing. It may work on a Range Rover Sport, but not on this.
