The Volkswagen e-Co-Motion concept is an electrically powered urban delivery van that heralds the arrival of a new generation commercial vehicles. They are cool to look at, silent and clean, and have the same practicality and versatility as today’s ugly, dirty vans.

The e-Co-Motion has a more compact size than conventional cars of this segment, which makes it more maneuverable with a turning circle of 8.95 meters. But thanks to clever packaging, it can still be considered as a full-on load-lugger.

The van features an energy saving mode which limits the output to 50 kW / 68 PS. The max output is around 85 kW / 115 PS with 270 Nm of torque, which can take the e-Co up to a top speed of 120 km/h.

A battery with a capacity of 20 kWh could be installed for driving ranges of around 100 km, while a battery with 30 kWh would enable a 150 km driving range. Finally, a battery with 40 kWh storage capacity is planned for the top driving range of 200 km.

The future of commercial vehicles has never been brighter!
