Volkswagen e Co Motion concept 545x381 at Geneva Preview: Volkswagen e Co Motion

Volkswagen is going to show us their vision for the van of the future in form of the e-Co-Motion concept at the Geneva Motor Show. Naturally, it is a zero-emission vehicle, and it’s also more compact and maneuverable than today’s vans, while remaining fairly practical with a payload of 800 kg.

Other advantages of this futuristic vans compared to the current models, say a VW Transporter, is better ergonomics, better visibility, easy entry, exit and walk-through. It also features a low cargo floor height and large cargo capacity that makes loading easier.

Size-wise, the e-Co-Motion measures at 4.55 m long, 1.90 m wide, and 1.96 m tall. The battery pack for the electric drivetrain is located underneath the floor so it has no effect on the payload capacity or the passenger compartment.

On top of all this, the e-Co features a sleek and futuristic design. More on this cool can at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show.
