Nissan adds a third model to the Juke lineup in the American market with the new 2014 Juke Nismo RS. This model is designed to give customers more power, handling and exclusive equipment. It is sort of the ultimate version of the Juke; the best-equipped, most fun version.

To that end, the Nissan Juke Nismo RS is fitted with a an inline 4-cylinder 1.6-liter DOHC aluminum-alloy Direct Injection Gasoline Turbo engine that delivers 215 horsepower and 210 lb-ft of torque when equipped with front-wheel-drive and a six-speed manual gearbox. You can get the car with an all-wheel-drive system and an Xtronic CVT transmission, but that setup will have a slight negative effect on the power output (211 hp and 184 lb-ft).

The Juke Nismo RS features optimized engine control (ECU) settings and a revised exhaust system with a larger main tube diameter and revised baffling, so it sounds a lot nicer as well. Manual transmission-equipped models also offer a standard helical-geared Limited-Slip Differential (LSD).

The sports lowered suspension in this model not only improves handling, it contributes to the styling as well, joining forces with a massive body kit with red accenting, unique 18-inch lightweight aluminum-alloy wheels with 225/45R18 Continental ContiSportContact5 tires, and special badging.

The Nismo RS Juke will launch in early 2014.
