Brabus released the details of its first upgrade kit for the Mercedes A45 AMG featuring a substantial power boost. They provide the AMG hot hatch with 40 extra horsepower and 50 more torques, and since the same 2.0 liter turbo four-pot engine is used in the CLA and GLA 45 models, the upgrade can be ordered for those cars as well.
Brabus Mercedes A45, or B45 in Brabus’ own words, features the firm’s new PowerXtra electronic kit. It consists of a processor controlled additional control unit which is adapted to the engine management. It’s a plug & play system that works with the standard wiring and unlocks new levels of performance out of the box.
Other upgrades currently available for the Brabus Mercedes A45 AMG include a subtle visual treatment with revised spoilers and diffusers, as well as a Brabus rear wing, plus a wide range of Monobloc wheels. Suspension upgrades, powerful brakes, and revamped interior will be available later on.
Following their fling with 700 and 800 horsepower monsters at this year’s Geneva Motor Show, Brabus has now turned its attention to Mercedes’ smaller products, developing packages for the CLA, the new C-Class, and the GLA.
