Carlex is a name synonymous with some of the fanciest interiors you will ever see on any car. Their latest project is a BMW M3 which they rather affectionately call the Black Spinell, which we gather is some sort of precious stone.

The package designed for the Carlex Design BMW M3 is decidedly black in appearance, but it’s made from a number of different materials. You will find “Bentley nappa” leather in abundance, complemented with “braided” cowhide leather. Joining these two are carbon optic leather and schwartz (black) Alcantara, creating a wonderful but rather mean-looking environment. We should also mention the natural Nubuck inserts.

Another highlight of Carlex Design BMW M3 is the muscular steering wheel consisting of all the materials mentioned above, including leather, Alcantara, nubuck, and a healthy dose of carbon fiber. The car also comes with a leather and carbon handbag, modeled on the design Carlex perfected for the seat upholstery. This BMW M3 E92 looks standard on the outside.
