German tuner MTM has announced its lineup for the 2015 Geneva Motor Show and it includes a new Talladega S8. This model is famous for their understated appearance and immense power; qualities that the new MTM Audi S8 Talladega S takes to whole new level.
Granted, with that low-slung front spoiler, large wheels and ground-hugging ride height, MTM Audi S8 Talladega S looks substantially different from the standard S8. But it is still far from in-your-face and still qualifies as a wolf in sheep’s clothing. And that a wolf it is!
Under the bonnet the Talladega S boasts a twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 engine which is tuned by MTM to the brink of destruction, extracting 802 horsepower and over 950 Nm of torque from. A wise man one said that Audi engines have this peculiar characteristic that if you give the to the right man, they can get a million horsepower out of them.
MTM Audi S8 Talladega S is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.1 seconds while the top speed is limited to 350 km/h. The four-wheel-drive and those large 21-inch wheels do a good job of keeping the car in check, but it’s a wonder how that subtle aero kit can produce enough downforce to stop the S8 going airborne at that kind of speed.
