A few weeks ago at the Chicago Auto Show Mercedes-Benz USA and tuner RENNtech unveiled a one-of-a-kind vehicle which, to our knowledge, is the first tuner lorry. The RENNtech Mercedes Sprinter Extreme is a concept designed, apparently, to prove construction work can be fun.

The real purpose of RENNtech Mercedes Sprinter Extreme is to showcase the capabilities of the prestigious tuning house in customizing all Mercedes-Benz models, regardless of model and body style. This custom show truck comes with many extras, including a custom roof rack, six forward-facing lights and additional spotlights, custom brush guard, G-Class-inspired beadlock wheels, six-inch suspension lift kit, wide body kit, 3-way hydraulic tipper Bed, 10,000 lb winch, Hulk themed mud graphics vinyl wrap from 3M and chrome side exhausts.

Based on the Sprinter 3500 Cab, RENNtech Mercedes Sprinter Extreme Concept also serves as an advertisement for the Sprinter series which come as buses, RVs, ambulances and box bodies. From the factory, the chassis is available in two wheelbases – 141 inches or 170 inches – and has a stock 4-Cylinder BlueTEC diesel engine combined with an efficient 7-speed “7G-TRONIC” transmission, ensuring a best-in-class payload capacity of up to 6,400 lbs and towing capability of up to 7,500 lbs.
