Russian tuner TopCar is giving us a glimpse into the cabin of yet another Mercedes-Benz they have tuned and styled for a customer. This one is undoubtedly one of the finest works they have done in terms of colors and materials, especially as it features a very unique Karelian Birch wood trim package.
This special wood with its beautiful patterns is a kind of birch that grows in Karelia, a region between Finland and Russia. One can’t help but think these trees were the reason Russia invaded Crimea and annexed it like we’re still in medieval times and Vladimir Putin is a Czar. But anyway, the point is Karelian Birch is one of the nicest wooden trims we’ve ever seen in any car.
On this TopCar Mercedes GLE the wood trimming is complemented with a heavy dose of light brown and cream colored leather on the seats, dashboards, and door cards, as well the consoles and the steering wheel, while the headliner and the visors are covered with Alcantara and boast a lovely diamond pattern stitching. Some may find the color scheme a bit too chocolaty, but no one can question the craftsmanship.
The TopCar Mercedes GLE with the birch interior is a Guard model which means it is armored. So whoever ordered this bad boy is quite an important person… important enough to be a target.
