Nissan has been teasing us about the convertible Murano for ages, but this time they seem ready to actually drop it! Apparently the car is set for debut at 2010 L.A. Autoshow in November, and will go on sale in Spring next year as a 2012 model. The design of the car has not been finalized yet, and this one you see here is an old rendering, but chances are it’ll be really cool!
With the Murano Convertible Nissan is gambling really, because if they manage to come up with a fine design there’s no guarantee that people embrace this idea well! And they have to an incredible amount of engineering work to make sure it drives properly, because to be honest it’s not an easy job turning a normal car into a cabriolet, let alone a tall and heavy crossover such as the Murano.
Regardless of the result, Nissan showed they have the guts to take risks and come up with something new and amazing! That we like.
