The new version of Nissan GT-R will be released in Japan next year and within a few months will also reach Europe and America as well. The 2012 model will feature numerous visual and technical upgrades. As far as the styling goes, the mighty GT-R will remain almost the same as before. The changes here are very subtle and almost unnoticeable to an uninterested eye.
If you look close enough though you realize there are new daytime running LED lights integrated into the front the bumper of the car. And if you really strain your eyes, you might also notice that the front bumper itself is changed a bit. These changes might be quite minor, but they have a big effect on the car’s aerodynamic characteristics. Next GT-R will have better drag coefficient and will also produce 10 percent more downforce.
The car will also get new exterior colors and new design wheels.
The new Rays forged aluminium wheels are lighter by 3kg than the previous wheels, which means overall they reduce 12 kg from the unsprung weight of the GT-R. Despite being lighter, new wheels are said to be stiffer than the outgoing models. They will be available in two colors including Hyper Blue Black and Hyper Titanium.
