ABT Sportline, apparently, was wondering what VW small engine they should pick up to upgrade! But they couldn’t decide, so they upgraded a bunch of them all at once. There’s packages for the 1.2/1.4 TSI and the 1.6 TDI, powering cars like VW Polo, Audi A1, SEAT Ibiza and Skoda Fabia, through to the Audi A3, VW Golf, SEAT Leon and Skoda Octavia as well as VW Passat and Skoda Superb.
The 1.2 and 1.4 liter petrol units are upgraded based on their use. The series standard 105 HP (77 kW) of the 1.2 TSI, for example in the Polo, Golf, Scirocco or Ibiza, is increased to 140 HP (103 kW).
As a further example the 1.4 TSI in the Audi A3 or the Skoda Superb is improved from 125 or 122 HP (92 or 90kW) to 160 HP (118 kW). The 1.4 TSI, with a standard output of 180 HP (132 kW), for instance in the Polo GTI or the Ibiza Cupra, becomes particularly sporty: the Bavarian POWER package brings these vehicles up to a dynamic 210 HP (154 kW), which corresponds to the output of a Golf GTI.
As for the 1.6 liter TDI diesel, which can be used in the Golf, Polo, Eos, Roomster, A1 and the A3, ABT provides 116 or 125 diesel HP (85 or 92 kW).
