Each year for the Life Ball, Europe’s biggest AIDS charity event, MINI comes up with a special one-off model which gets auctioned off to benefit the efforts in fighting HIV.
For the 2011 event, they are preparing a unique MINI cooper S designed by the DSQUARED², the Canadian twins specializing in techno art. Called the Red Mudder, thi sMINI is specailly equipped for outdoor events and kinda remind us of the original Cooper rally champ of the 60s. It also features lots of DSQUARED logos and leafs on its doors to showcase its identity. The one-off MINI will be unveiled on 21 May.
Taking part in Life Ball event is part of BMW Group’s social commitment. Since 2001, a MINI created by world-renowned designers has been a pivotal element of the Life Ball. Previous designers who have worked with BMW and MINI to create one-offs include Agent Provocateur, Donatella Versace, Diesel, Missoni and Gianfranco Ferré.
