Volvo is still reluctant to let go of the XC90 and replace it with a new model. And why would they, the car has still got a lot to live for.
Granted, the car is now 10 years old and the latest 2012MY edition, even though updated, looks pretty much exactly the same as the first one, but it is still one of the best choices for those looking for a no compromise family-friendly SUV.
On the outside the car gets revised bumpers, door moldings, tailgate, LED daytimers and taillights, plus new roof rails. You also get 18-inch wheels with new design, but to be honest non of that really make a difference in the way the car looks. Not that it’s a bad looking car.
The interior really feels old fashioned and the new instruments and aluminum accents don’t help it much. It is feature-rich though, and on certain models comes with amazing stuff like leather seats that massage you as you drive along, or Volvo’s new iPhone app which includes a tracker function and diagnostic tools.
you may order an R-package for the 2012 XC90 as well, which consists of better trimmed interior, 19-inch wheels amongst other styling tweaks and tweaked chassis.
