Hamann has been suspiciously quite this last couple of months. Turns out they’ve been working on the Mercedes SLS Roadster to create the ‘Hawk’.

To be unveiled at the next week’s Geneva autoshow, the SLS Hawk gets a substantially different package than its sibling brother, but it is just as extravagant.

Finished in a bright red, garnished with exposed carbon fiber parts and black accents, and fitted with massive aero kit, the Hawk could have only been more look-at-me if it had like tattoos or pendants hanging from its neck. In Hamann’s defense, the SLS is not a restrained car anyway.

More important that looks, as always, is the technicalities. Titanium race-spec exhausts, sport catalysts, high performance air filter, and revised ECU are some of the upgrades fitted to this car’s 6.2 liter V8 engine. As a result, the power has gone up from 571 hp to 636 hp and 680 Nm of torque.

Zero to 100 km/h now takes 3.6 seconds, and the top speed is 320 km/h.

The red/black theme continues inside with red carbon fiber on the center console and door sills, and leather and alcantara – with contrasting red stitching – everywhere else. The wide body kit on this car also allows fitment of wide 21-inch wheels with ultra-fat tires.
