We absolutely hate all aftermarket body kits for the Mercedes G Class, because we believe a legendary, classic car like this should never be messed with. Sadly with the new 2013 G63 AMG, Mercedes themselves have been fiddling with the design, giving the car an ugly new face. So you’d be forgiven for wanting to change it. And thankfully, there’s a new kit on the market from German Special Customs that is well-designed and well-proportioned.
GSC’s Goldstorm kit basically facelifts the G-Class, with all-new front and rear-end designs. Not all the details are brilliant, but it really alters the big G’s looks.
The front-end gets a new bumper, a new grille, new headlights that seem to be nicked straight from Rolls Royce Ghost and a vented bonnet. On objection we have is that this car has too many holes in it! The changes continue with fender flares, new side skirts, rear bumper with more holes, new tailpipes and of course, custom taillights.
Just a word of warning if you’re getting this kit for your G-Class; steer clear of the gold paint job. It only works in downtown Abu Dhabi.
