The all-new Nissan Altima will soon take the U.S. market by storm, boasting an EPA rating of 27 mpg city, 38 mpg highway and 31 mpg combined for the four-cylinder model, which gives a range of 684 miles on a single tank of fuel. Besides the excellent fuel economy, the Altima also offers a nice range of features, at least for a car with a base price of $21,500 USD. And you have to say, the 2013 version doesn’t look bad. The previous models were rather tragic, but this looks alright.
Being a family car, the new Altima also packs a lot of safety features, some of them not common for a car of this class. You get the next-generation Safety Shield Technologies, including Blind Spot Warning (BSW), Lane Departure Warning (LDW) and Moving Object Detection (MOD) systems using an innovative single rear camera. Convenience features depend on the trim level you choose, but an advanced Drive-Assist™ Display with 4-inch color screen standard on every model, which is customizable, easy-to-use and integrates key information right in front of the driver.
