Aston Martin Vanquish Breaks Records… For Website Traffic

Aston Martin AM 310 Vanquish at Aston Martin Vanquish Breaks Records... For Website Traffic

It’s too soon to expect the new Aston Martin Vanquish to break any performance records. But seeing as lately car makers like to brag about their online accomplishments such as YouTube hits and Facebook fans, Aston decided to boast the car’s success at breaking all records for their website traffic. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday last week – June 20, 21 and 22 – saw the three highest traffic days ever recorded on Aston Martin’s website.

In the first two days the traffic was mostly brought in by search engines and direct hits at AstonMartin.com from people looking for pictures and details of the new Aston supercar. On Friday it went even higher as most automotive news website linked to the car’s online configurator webpage.

Now this is not just something for Aston Martin to brag about. By studying the traffic data they can see on what parts of the world the interest for Aston cars is rising or falling. For instance, visits to the site from the United States soaring by 102%. Closer to home, visits from the UK were up 162% while Germans, too, have been racing to grab a glimpse of the new car – visits to the Aston Martin site from that country soared by 216%. In China, where Aston Martin is still a relative newcomer, interest has been shooting up with visits to the site jumping 81%.

Aston Martin also wants you to know that the Vanquish’s promo video has passed 200,000 views on YT, and that it has 24,000 Facebook ‘likes’ thus far.

Great. Now what we want to see is the Vanquish in a head to head battle with the new Ferrari F12 Berlinetta.
