ABT finally got to work on the Audi S8, one of the sportiest and most luxurious saloons German car maker has in its range. The S8, or AS8 once ABT is through with it, does not benefit from many visual upgrades, but under the bonnet is where the most exciting stuff is going on. Substantial power upgrade and awesome speed are the outcome of ABT’s efforts with the S8.

The standard S8 features a new 4.0 TFSI V8 that develops 382 kW (520 hp) and 650 Nm (479.42 lb-ft) of torque, resulting in a 0 to 100 km/h sprint time of 4.2 seconds, and limited top speed of 250 km/h (155.34 mph). You would agree the standard figures are pretty good.

Not for ABT they aren’t. Their power kit for the engine will increase the output to 620 horsepower and 780 Nm of torque. That enhances the performance dramatically. It now takes 4.0 seconds dead for it to hit 100 km/h, while 60 to 100 km/h takes only 2.8 seconds, 80 to 120 Km/h 3.5 seconds and 0 to 200 Km/h just 13 seconds. The top speed is no longer limited and the AS8 can hit 290 km/h.

ABT also offers a Level Control kit for the suspension and new turbine design wheels available in 19 to 21-inch.
