You know what it is, don’t you. It’s a Chrysler 200 convertible, rebadged in Europe as Lancia Flavia. As far as convertibles go, this is one of the worst. It looks awful, it doesn’t drive very well, and like every other American car it has a rubbish interior. To sell this thing in Europe Fiat/Chrysler are working on its image. They recently teamed up with Venice film festival and made a special edition for them.

It’s called the Lancia Flavia Red Carpet, and the only thing in it that is different over the normal Flavias is the red upholstery on the seats. It’s not just any leather upholstery though. It is in fact Pelle Frau Pieno Fiore leather, which sounds pretty cool. The Red Carpet Flavia also has a pearl white exterior color and is based on the top of the range version fitted with lots of goodies including sat nav and a top notch sound system.

The powertrain in this car is not inspiring at all. You get a 2.4 liter petrol engine developing 170 horsepower, delivered to the front wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission. We’re nodding off just writing this.
