Silverstone Auctions’ inventory for the Race Retro Sale in Warwickshire (21st and 22nd February) includes a truly amazing car. It’s a brand-new 1992 Lancia Delta Integrale, going on sale for the first time sine it left the factory.
With only delivery mileage (31 miles) on the clock, this Lancia Delta Integrale has been in storage in perfect condition for the past 22 years. Even back then the Delta was considered a seriously hot hatchback, owning to its Lancia badge and its World Rally background. These days though, the car is considered a full-blooded classic.
That is why the auctioneers expect the car to between £90,000 – £110,000. Other things this new Lancia Delta Integrale has going for it include the highly coveted Martini drinks company livery – which means it is one of the only 400 made with in these colors – and the ‘Evoluzione’ homologation package which adds wider tracks, wider fenders and fatter wheels and tires. It also comes with a beefed-up 16V engine with 210 horsepower.
“As a limited edition special, produced to celebrate the Integrale’s success in the World Rally Championship, these cars are incredibly rare indeed,” comments Guy Lees-Milne, General Manager, Silverstone Auctions. “So, to find such a perfect example with just a few miles on the clock really is an exceptional feat. What’s more, there are few surroundings more appropriate than Race Retro to offer the car for sale.”
