About time. The MC Staradale version of Maserati GranCabrio breaks cover ahead of its official debut at Paris Motor Show, adding yet another version to the Italian GT’s lineup. The Stardale, as you know, is a hard-core, semi stripped-out, more powerful version of the GranTurismo. Apply all that to the GranCabrio and you get this car.
It’s certainly a looker this Maserati GranCabrio MC Stradale. It gets MC bumpers featuring large air intake at front and a cool diffuser with two central tailpipes at the back. There is also a big side vent, a tail spoiler and blacked-out headlights. The Coupe Stardale is about a 100 kilo lighter than the normal GranTurismo, but the GranCabrio, being a convertible, is heavier. So the GranCab Stradale is probably the same weight as a normal coupe GT.
The Stardale is also more powerful than normal models, featuring a 450 hp V8 engine. The powertrain will probably be the same in the Cabrio version. Official details and pictures of the car should be released soon. So stay tuned.
