In a star-studded event – well, we only recognized Jodie Kidd and Sir Stirling Moss – Maserati unveiled the latest version of the GranTurismo at the the exclusive Hurlingham Club in London. This model is called the GranTurismo Sport, and it draws a fine line between the hard-core Stradale version, and the soft and cuddly standard GTurismo.

Maserati GranTurismo Sport Coupe, which will also become available as a GranCabrio, features  a  4.7 litre V8 now tuned to deliver 460 hp and 520 Nm of torque. It goes from 0 to 62 mph in 4.7 seconds (4.8 seconds for the MC Shift Auto version) and comes in two versions: the MC Shift featuring a 6 speed manual robotised gearbox with a transaxle layout, and the MC Shift Auto, fitted with a 6-speed automatic gearbox by ZF.

Another highlight of the event, which was attended by more than 350 guests including supermodel and Maserati racing driver Jodie Kidd, Giovanni Soldini, Italy’s most revered sailor and skipper of the Maserati VOR 70, legendary racing driver Sir Stirling Moss and Tottenham Hotspur’s Italian goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini, was the Bulgari Octo Maserati watch.

To tell you the truth though, more than the car we wanted to look at Jodie who looked splendid in a golden mini dress by Fendi and dazzling Bulgari jewels.
