UnderGround Racing, as you may know, is a tuning firm with one specialty: making twin-turbo Gallardos! They do do other makes and models, but they got a thing for the V10-powered baby bull. Their last effort, a Twin Turbo Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera built for a customer, just did an 8.35 second quarter mile @ 181 mph. It is the first Gallardo to make it into the 8s.
The reason for this ferocious speed is, obviously, that tuned V10 engine, which according to UGR makes 1,100 hp on pump gas, and a whopping 1,750 hp on racing fuel. The car also sports a set 18-inch HRE wheels with 335-30-18 drag radials, which play a major part in achieving this record. This here is a just teaser video of the run. We hope they soon releases more details and footage about this extraordinary Gallardo.
