This episode of MotorTrend’s Head 2 Head show is all about big, German, luxury saloons. This time though, Jonny Lieberman has gone for two of the more exclusive, less talked about, cars of this segment.

It’s the Audi S8 versus the BMW Alpina B7. Both these cars make over 520 horsepower, and both cost well over 130 grand. The BMW, however, is rear-wheel-drive, but the Audi all-wheel-drive. So, which is the best?

To find out the answer, Lieberman first goes through details of these fine Germans and checks out their facts and figures. Then he puts them on the dyno, then a spot of drag, and finally he takes them out to the open roads to see what are they like to drive. This is a good one.
