Koenigsegg Agera R 1 at Koenigsegg Agera R Review by Jethro Bovingdon

To find out if the Swedes have come up with a formidable rival for the Bugatti Veyron SuperSport, Car&Driver’s European correspondent Jethro Bovingdon popped by the Koenigsegg factory and borrowed an Agera R. This is the latest, most powerful, and most expensive car Koenigsegg has ever made. Jethro immediately heads to a race track to check out the car’s handling, and then goes to a runway where he unleashes all of the Agera’s 1,140 horsepower.

The Agera might still need a bit of work to break the Veyron’s records. But if we put facts and figures to one side for a minute and rate the cars based on driving fun, the Koenigsegg thrashes the mighty Bugga. Driving the Bugatti is a pretty vanilla experience, whereas the Agera is a full S&M affair!
