With every new model SsangYong shows signs of improvement, but they are quite there yet. This is the new SsangYong Korando Sports utility pickup, and it looks pretty decent, at least compared to the previous works of the Korean auto maker. It is now on sale in the UK starting from £18,295.
The double-cab, rugged, 4×4 pickup truck comes in two trim levels. The base SX features 16” alloy wheels, tinted glass, air conditioning, leather covered steering wheel, remote central locking, Kenwood MP3 CD & RDS radio with a USB & auxiliary port and Bluetooth connectivity.
The better equipped EX adds leather upholstery with heated front seats, powered driver’s seat, heated, electrically adjustable and power folding door mirrors and rear parking sensors. A 6 speed automatic transmission with cruise control is also available as an option.
THe power comes from a Euro 5, 2 litre e-XDi diesel engine that provides maximum power of 155PS and peak torque of 360Nm delivered between 1,500rpm and 2,800rpm. The car also offers 2.04m2 load area, but you can also order a rifig hardtop for it to make the pickup look like a SUV, but sort of limit the space.
