Nissan revealed the pricing details for the 2013 Armada full-size SUV, and it starts from $40,710 for the base model. A fully-equipped Platinum Armada costs $56,180. So ti’s a pricey bit of kit, but is it any good?
Well, it certainly doesn’t look like it costs between 40 to 60 grand. It actually looks a bit agricultural. But it does have a very cool name, and a smooth and refined 5.6-liter Endurance V8 engine rated at 317 horsepower and 385 lb-ft of torque. The Armada has a tough ladder chassis but comfortable double-wishbone suspension, so it should be good on and off the road. All 2013 Armadas are offered in a choice of 2-wheel or 4-wheel drive.
The SUV comes in three trim levels of Armada SV, Armada SL and Armada Platinum. The 2013 model can be had with a $2,090 Platinum Reserve Package, adding 20-inch dark chrome wheels, dark chrome grille and outside mirrors, premium grade two-tone Chocolate/Almond leather–appointed seating and dark satin chrome interior accents.
Other available features include Moonroof, DVD Family Entertainment System, Nissan Intelligent Key, leather-appointed seating and RearView Monitor, a premium Bose audio system with 11 speakers, power-folding 60/40-split 3rd row seat and auto-leveling rear air suspension and available Nissan Navigation system with NavTraffic system Real-Time Traffic Information.
