ABT Sportline tuning center released the first pictures of their new RS5-R, based on the latest Audi RS5. To be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show next month, ABT RS5-R benefits from a serious visual treatment, and a not so serious performance upgrade.
Styling-wise, the car gets a new front splitter complete with little flaps on the bumper for optimum aerodynamic performance, revised front bumper, sport hood, side skirts, a rear diffuser, and a large rear wing, plus 20-inch black wheels.
All of the add-on parts are made of carbon fiber.
As for the performance, the output of the RS5’s 4.2 liter TFSI V8 engine is increased from 450 horsepower to 470, thanks to a new sport exhaust system. 20 horsepower may not sound like much, but it actually shaves 0.3 seconds off the RS5’s 0 to 100 km/h time. It now does that in 4.6 seconds.
ABT also offers an interior package with red and black leather and Acantara upholstery, carbon fiber trim package, a roll cage and four-point seat belts.
