Celebrating the launch of its MiTo Quadrifoglio Verde SBK Limited Edition in the UK, Alfa Romeo pit the car against a super bike for a daring challenge. The SBK is, after all, an homage to Alfa’s multi-year collaboration with the World Superbike Championship.
The Stunt they pulled in this challenge is called ‘Undertaking’. Not the sort you do on the freeways. They have a more literal approach to it! The Alfa, driven by precision driver Paul Swift, goes up on two wheels, while British Superbike rider Chris ‘The Stalker’ Walker and his Kawasaki ZX-10R Ninja British Superbike undertake him by driving, well, under the car. One tiny mistake by Paul, and Chris would be crushed.
Fortunately, everything goes according to the plan and the special edition MiTo, powered by the 1.4 Turbo MultiAir 170 bhp Quadrifoglio Verde engine, pulls off a perfect stunt.
The SK edition is a future classic model, featuring many extras such as a racing body kit including side skirts and rear lower spoiler, complemented by 18” alloy wheels and red Brembo brake callipers. It comes in Solid Black with an Alfa Red roof, and has a starting price of £21,595.
