At the Geneva Motor Show next month Maserati will reveal a new version of its track-prepped GranTurismo MC Stradale fitted with four seats. The car also gets a set of new 20-inch wheels that make the whole thing look cooler.
The new MC Stradale also benefits from a sculpted carbon fiber bonnet with a central air intake and two rear extractors. It can be considered as the ultimate version of the Gran Turismo. It certainly looks like it.
Power comes from Maser’s 4.7 liter, 460 HP aspirated V8 engine which is the same exact unit used in the GT Sport, mated to the MC Race Shift 6-speed robotised manual gearbox. This setup delivers great performance, and a top speed of 188 mph, but it is not what you call refined. The gear change is particularly harsh, and the engine noise inside the cabin can be overwhelming.
The MC is, after all, a track-focused car, which is why it comes with sport suspension and Brembo carbon ceramic brake discs. Luckily, the Gran Turismo range also includes soft and cuddly models for those who don’t care for lap times.
I’m not so sure. Its looks very odd with that high roof line or maybe it needs bigger wheels to balance it out
