Alpina B3 Bi Turbo 1 545x381 at Geneva Preview: Alpina B3 Bi Turbo

Those visiting the 2013 Geneva Motor Show hoping to see the new BMW M3 will not be disappointed. No, the M3 is not coming, but you get to see this, the Alpina B3 Bi-turbo, which is basically the same thing. The B3 is based on the the F30 sedan with an Alpina-tuned 335i engine.

Details are yet to be revealed, but initial reports suggest that the turbocharged in-line six in this car is boosted up to 410 horsepower. It is only about 20 horses less powerful than the real M3/M4, so the performance difference shouldn’t be that significant.

That said, the M cars will come with M body kit, M suspension, and M steering, while the B3 has to make do with whatever Alpina can put together for it. Still, we prefer the Alpina version simply because it is much cooler.

Stay tuned for official details and pictures.
