SsangYong’s production cars are still rubbish, but they do not miss a motor show without bringing out a fancy concept car. This is the SIV-1, the latest in a series of futuristic concept crossovers SsangYong is working on, and it will make its world debut at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show.

With every concept, SsangYong’s crossover inches closer to production. The name SIV stands for Smart Interface Vehicle, derived from a multi interface mid-premium CUV (crossover utility vehicle) platform. In short, it’s a small SUV. It is 4.5 meters long and 1.88 meters wide, and has a wheelbase of 2.7 meters.

The SIV Concept also showcases the Korean car maker’s new design direction. It is dynamic and sporty on the outside, and pretty clever inside. The car features a Mobile Auto System and four independent bucket seats.

So yet another concept by SsangYong, but still no sign of any production car based on it.
