SsangYong takes the wraps off the SIV-1, the latest from a series of futuristic concept cars, all of them mid-size crossovers. The Geneva Motor Show car has a new design based on the philosophy of ’Nature Born 3 Motion’. No idea what that means, but we like the way it looks.

Sure, the headlights look like they are copied from the BMW 3 Series, and those cool lines on the sides have been before on some European cars, but we have to say the combination of all these features have kinda worked. In designing this car, SY has put an emphasize on space, and it shows with the size of the thing, and also the spacious interior that has a warm and welcoming feel to it.

The car also benefits from a fair dose of technology features. It has a mobile auto system with amazing connectivity functions. It allows smart phones and tablets to be automatically recognised on the car’s control screen to operate GPS or music players, while vehicle control is also possible at anytime to create the optimised driving environment before entering the car.

Other advanced technologies in SIV-1:

A nano tube technology-based high function heat coating is applied to increase driving safety and secure perfect driving conditions.  An ultra thin heat film coating technology is applied to all window and exterior mirrors to remove frost quickly andensure good visibility and safety.  A glass-heating system also removes window frosting in cold weather in the shortest time possible while maintaining an optimal internal temperature and ideal driving environment.
