At the 2013 Wörthersee meeting, which is a place for VW Group’s celebratory models, Audi announced the R18 competition package for the A1 hatchback. This little guy pays homage to the big Le Mans racer, but doesn’t get much in the way of upgrades.

Sure, there is a visual package with red and gray accents adorning the white paint job, and special “378” badges, unique wheels and a rear spoiler are added to make the car look unique, but for something that is named after the R18 monster, you’d expect more substance. They could have at least base the car on the hot A1 Quattro model.

Interior changes are even more limited than the exterior, and only include some new floor mats, and the center console painted in the same colors as the body. That’s about it.
