Following its global debut earlier this year in China, the European version of the all-new MG3 city car has been unveiled in the UK, at the European Design Centre in Birmingham. MG is adamant that in designing the MG3 they wanted “a distinctive statement of modern British style.” Why does it look so decidedly Chinese then?
Regardless of the design though, the MG3 seems to be a car of great value. Like all Chinese cars that are sold overseas, this little MG is packed with features and equipment, while sporting a temptingly low price tag. The 2014 MG3 is will start at around 10,000 pounds.
Powered by a 105 PS VTi-TECH petrol engine, the 4-meter long MG3 benefits from decent interior space with class-leading rear headroom. Depending on the trim level, it comes with air conditioning system, six-speaker audio, Bluetooth with audio streaming, DAB radio, USB/Aux input, automatic lights, automatic wipers, rear parking sensors, ‘ZERO’ design fabric seats and part-leather trim.
What’s more, you can personalize your MG3 with roof, side and bonnet graphics, interior trims, wheels, vents, surrounds and mats will all be available in a choice of designs, colours and finishes.
Full specifications and prices will be announced nearer to the public launch over MG3.
